Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. Her acting career began in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. From there to starring in a minor role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very difficult. This was not easy for Amy because she had to move from modelling into acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. In the course of a couple of years Amy made the jump into bigger roles. She starred in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years struggling. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on The Shameless series.
