Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took some time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller role. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting since models are not usually considered good actors. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. Amy was determined to keep trying. She climbed the ladder to greater roles, starting with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. In 2005, Amy took on the lead role in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous for her work over the past 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major film projects including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
